Keeping Your Energy and Spirits High

Einstein said “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it”

We all have our unique energy. Working out what keeps our energy ‘high’ or flowing can help us with the twists and turns of life.

Sometimes we feel tired but we may just be in need of doing something that ‘lights us up’.  If you hate routine, but your life is full of it, your energy will feel low until you do something spontaneous, exciting or something you love.

If you thrive on routine but life has been too spontaneous, getting back into routine will ‘light you up’.

We are all different.

Sometimes we can feel other people’s energy.  We may instantly know when a friend or family member is struggling by the feel of their energy. Even if they say that they are fine, we can feel that they are not.

Energy isn’t spoken about a great deal, but it is always here.

All holistic therapies work to shift energy in one way or another, be it Acupuncture, Reflexology, Massage, Reiki, Shiatsu…….. and so many more therapies on the list.  They all work with a common goal……to move energy, for the better. Some of you feel the energy moving in your body as you have your treatments. The floaty feeling after a treatment is the result of an energy shift and less tension in the body.

Sluggish or trapped energy may manifest into physical symptoms.

I recall when my Mum once had a Shiatsu massage during a spa day. She couldn’t stop smiling and laughing afterwards.  She was bemused why she was behaving like that. It was a positive shift of energy that created that amazing feeling.  That feeling stayed with her for some time.

So, what lights you up? Are you doing enough of it?

Maybe have a think, write some things down and negotiate some time in your diary to incorporate them into your week.  Maybe think ahead to next year and imagine doing more of these things? Maybe starting a course, scheduling creative time into your week? You get to decide.

Our bodies and minds reward us when we do the things that light us up, and we then become a better energy for our family and friends to be around. They can feel it, even if they can’t put it into words what they are feeling.  It’s our energy.
