A more Zen version of yourself

How have you entered 2022 so far? Have you had the chance to make any new positive lifestyle changes? Changing habits can be hard! I have read that it takes 21 days of a new habit to break an old one. All tiny positive changes have a cumulative effect, no matter how small.

If you are working towards becoming a more Zen version of yourself, I have a new habit you may like to try which takes 5 minutes a day.

In the evenings when you are unwinding or watching TV, giving your toes a massage may relieve tension within the mind. The toes are the reflexes to the brain and massaging them, especially your big toe, may help you to feel more relaxed and ready to sleep. Just 5 minutes per night or as many nights as is practical for you (setting a phone reminder can help) will have a calming effect. You can use some oil (even just olive oil) or some moisurisers will work well. You don’t even have to go that far. It can be done through socks.

Whatever way suits you best, trying this new habit may help to relieve some of the days’ tension and help towards a more relaxed evening and sleep zzzzz 😊
